It continues to thrill spectators week in and week out the world over. It is a sport that can be played all your life, with fulfillment being found no matter how old you are! It is without doubt a vehicle for life with many of life’s lessons evident as adversity is present in any 90 minute game!

The aim of any coach or club should be to instill the basic principles to the young and set forth the foundation for the future. This will undoubtedly stand the player in good stead as the game becomes more demanding... Instant gratification is something short-lived and I believe both Parents and players should look to the future as opposed to the present... Good things come to those who are patient and wait.

Nothing substitutes hard work and endeavor. Some players are born with that extra something, which we call talent, but hard work can be a great equalizer and in some cases with those players excelling those with greater natural ability. Nothing outweighs the will to succeed, as many have gone on to prove, no matter what field they specialize in. That’s what makes soccer so special.

Encouragement, positive reinforcement and quality coaching and are all elements that I demand from my coaches, coupled in a safe and harmonious environment. I want players who play at this club to look back with fond memories and having taken something away with them on life in general, only then have we truly succeeded!
